Day 4.
Our hotel was only a few blocks from the Space Needle.
We took advantage of that and went for an early morning walk when only the bike commuters were out and about. And only the coffee shops were open.
In the end I don't think we could have found a better way to get to know the real Seattle.
Our rental car. Yes. It's a Mustang Convertible.
After picking it up we headed southeast out of the city and back towards the Cascade mountains.
I don't think it's possible to take a bad picture in Washington.
Suddenly, out of the clouds and fog and rain Mount Rainier just appeared. Only for a moment. And it took our breath away.
We tried in vain for a picture to do it justice.
Paradise Inn.
It was cold up here. In the 40s. We were slightly under-dressed.
Fall color has already started.
