Day 2.

Our first full day aboard the train.

We passed through Minneapolis under a full moon turned red by the smoke of western forest fires.

Sunrise found us in North Dakota

Some of the temporary housing set up for the oil rig workers.

This looks like sunset but it's not. It's the sunlight filtered through a thick section of wildfire smoke.

We arrived in Glacier National park in Montana at Twilight. And were treated to spectacular views, despite the smoke and the rain, as we had supper in the dining car.
